The Official School of Interior Designers/Decorators of Navarre is a public law corporation created to watch over the interests and technical and professional competences of those who work in interior design. It groups together around two hundred professionals from the interior design sector in Navarre.
Initially forming part of the National School of Decorators, this school from Navarre was officially segregated in February 2000, when it acquired its own personality. Since then, it has formed part of the Consejo General (Governing Body), whose offices are in Madrid.
The main arms of the School are as follows:
- To arrange the exercising of this profession in Navarre
- To provide exclusive representation for the profession
- To defend the professional interests of interior designers from the Autonomous Region of Navarre
As for the functions of the School, the most important ones may be summarized as follows:
- To watch over the competences and powers of professionals from the interior design sector in Navarre
- To work together with public bodies in all aspects regarding the profession
- To obligatorily approve projects, reports, legal opinions, certificates, assessments and expert judgements from members in the course of exercising their profession
